Las perífrasis verbales son construcciones lingüísticas que consisten en un verbo auxiliar y otro verbo principal, que juntos forman un significado que no se puede expresar con un solo verbo. Estas construcciones son muy comunes en español y añaden matices y precisión a nuestras expresiones.
Ejemplos de Perífrasis Verbales
- Empezar a (to start):Empezó a llover (It started to rain).
- Acabar de (to have just):Acabo de comer (I have just eaten).
- Dejar de (to stop):Dejó de llover (It stopped raining).
- Ir a (going to):Voy a estudiar (I am going to study).
- Estar por (to be about to):Estoy por salir (I am about to leave).
- Poder + infinitivo (can, may):Puedes venir a la reunión si quieres (You can come to the meeting if you want).
- Ser capaz de (to be able to):Soy capaz de resolver problemas difíciles (I am able to solve difficult problems).
- Querer + infinitivo (would like to):Quiero invitarte a cenar esta noche (I would like to invite you to dinner tonight).
- Gustaría + infinitivo (would like to):Me gustaría conocer más sobre tu cultura (I would like to learn more about your culture).
- Haber de (to have to):He de confesar que me equivoqué (I have to confess that I was wrong).
