I was born in the UK and have been teaching English for almost 20 years. I’ve prepared many students for exams such as IELTS, TOEFL and the main Cambridge exams. I’ve also helped many students prepare for job interviews. I’m a firm believer that learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience so my classes are as dynamic and interactive as possible. My students get plenty of speaking time during which we learn and practise lots of new vocabulary. Hi, my name's Art, I started teaching ESL 39 years ago in Salamanca Spain, then continued part-time while also teaching Spanish as a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University where I received an M.A. in Hispanic Literature in 1988. I left another career about 11 years ago when my Venezuelan wife and I moved back to her home country, and there I also happily returned to my first career of teaching ESL.
