Hello. I am from Yokohama. I am a qualified and native Japanese teacher. I am interested in languages and I studied linguistics at my university in London. I had been working as a speech therapist for 10 years in Japan. I like to meet new people and teach Japanese. In my free time, I like to go to a cafe or park with friends. Also, I like travelling abroad. <My teaching experience> I have a postgraduate certificate to teach Japanese to non-native speakers. I have been working as a private teacher for six years in London and Auckland. I was born in Japan and studied in Canada and USA. When I was studying music in LA, I learned Brazilian music and a couple of years later I went to Brazil and met my husband. I didn't know how to speak Portuguese at that time, I only knew how to sing in Portuguese, but from the very first day of Brazil I learned how to have fun and communicate with people without knowing much of the theory and vocabulary. I am a "Nisei-Nikkei" (born and raised in Mexico descended from Japanese parents-second generation). I have lived in the USA and Canada, but most of my life in Mexico. I have had several English, Japanese, and Spanish conversation groups while I was a college student. I used to work at some international companies in different positions. I think that the best way to learn other languages is by practicing, and there is no more rewarding and funny way to practice than talking!
