About Me
Good morning to the Verbling community. My name is Costanza Cecchini, and I'm here to teach you Italian! :-)
Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I recently obtained a Master's degree in Teaching and Promotion of the Italian Language and Culture to Foreigners from Ca' Foscari University in Venice. In addition to having two other degrees in Languages, I have taught Italian to foreign students from all over the world and at all levels. In my hometown of Trieste, Italy, I taught Italian at the private school Piccola Università Italiana. In Spain, I was selected as an Italian Assistant at the Official School of Languages in Malaga. I have also taught Italian at the Italian Solidarity Consortium in Trieste to illiterate or poorly literate students from the Middle East. I plan my lessons respecting the natural process of language acquisition. Our mind perceives reality through three different stages: initial perception, global understanding, and systematic assimilation. Each of my lessons starts with a communicative situation, such as introducing oneself, speaking in a store, or discussing a specific topic, and then focuses on vocabulary and grammar that are functional to achieving the communicative goal. I love using authentic materials such as literary texts, songs, and videos. Each lesson is ultimately built around the specific needs and objectives of the student.

Vi racconto un po' di cose su di me...
Ho da poco ottenuto un Master in Didattica e promozione della lingua e della cultura italiana a stranieri presso l'università Ca' Foscari di Venezia. Oltre ad avere altre due lauree in Lingue, ho insegnato l'italiano a studenti stranieri provenienti da tutto il mondo e di tutti i livelli. In Italia, nella mia città, Trieste, ho insegnato l'italiano presso la scuola privata Piccola Università Italiana. In Spagna sono stata selezionata come Assistente di italiano presso la Scuola Ufficiale di Lingue di Malaga. Ho inoltre insegnato l'italiano presso il Consorzio italiano di Solidarietà di Trieste a studenti analfabeti o scarsamente alfabetizzati provenienti dal Medio Oriente. Pianifico le lezioni rispettando il processo naturale di acquisizione della lingua. La nostra mente, infatti, percepisce la realtà attraverso tre fasi diverse: una percezione iniziale, una comprensione globale e un'assimilazione sistematica. Ogni mia lezione parte da una situazione comunicativa, che può essere presentarsi, parlare in un negozio, discutere di una tematica particolare, per poi concentrarsi sul lessico e la grammatica funzionali al raggiungimento dell'obiettivo comunicativo. Amo molto utilizzare materiali autentici, come testi letterari, canzoni e video. Ogni lezione è infine costruita sui bisogni e gli obiettivi specifici dello studente.

My trial lessons
Per quanto riguarda la lezione prova, mi baso sul livello dello studente. Di solito propongo un input interessante, come un breve testo letterario, video o canzone, che contengano elementi grammaticali e lessicali pertinenti al livello dello studente.
Regarding the trial lesson, I base it on the student's level. Usually, I propose an engaging input such as a short literary text, video, or song that contains grammatical and lexical elements relevant to the student's level.
