Hello! My name is María and I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia.

I always enjoyed learning languages as well as learning about other cultures. As I learned other languages and discovered the linguistic techniques that propelled me to success, I decided to use those same skills to help others learn my mother tongue. On Verbling, I would love to help all those Spanish learners improve their Spanish language skills so that they can achieve fluency.

The lessons I offer are mainly focused on conversational practice. However, I am able to create structured lessons, which will be tailored to your needs and interests, if you are also looking to improve your listening, writing and reading comprehension skills, or to practice any specific grammar topic you wish to.
When it comes to working with beginners, I tend to start to teach them basic Spanish phrases and vocabulary. We will also be working on grammar and pronunciation – I will try to get you speaking in Spanish as quickly as possible.

Not only is my aim as your Spanish teacher to be someone to whom you can talk in Spanish, but also it is to actually help you learn to express yourself properly, and speak with eloquence and confidence in Spanish.
