My name is Anne and I am currently an online English Teacher. I worked as a high school teacher for five years but for the last two years, I have been teaching Chinese businessmen and businesswomen to improve their written and oral English. I love teaching English as a second language, as the appreciation from students as they grow and improve, is an unmatched experience. I like to think of myself as a facilitator rather than a teacher. This means my approach is student-centered rather than teacher-centered and I create an environment that directs students to learn through relaxed conversation and engagement. I encourage students to interact naturally using role-play, careful questions, and word games. As we interact, they naturally mimic my use of native English sayings and become comfortable speaking about a variety of subjects. I am an active sporty person who loves surfing, skateboarding, but also sewing and reading. I love to travel and see different places. My dream is to travel through China on the high-speed train and reach 350km/h. I love learning about and absorbing different cultures. I love learning new languages. My dream situation is to be lost in a foreign country and not speak the language. Above all, I value family and good friends.
