▶▶I'll be going on maternity leave in mid-December, so be sure to book while you can! Time's limited!◀◀
Hi everyone/ciao a tutti! My name's Alannah and I'm a CELTA (Cambridge University) qualified English teacher from western Canada but I've spent the past 5 years in Italy. I've been teaching English in-person for 12 years and online for about 3 years. I specialize in helping INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED learners reach their fluency goals, whether for business/career advancement, travel or 'just because.'
:::::I recommend that you contact me for a trial, so we can discuss your needs and work out a plan - just for you.:::::
--------------------------------------
I use a variety of conversation techniques and topics. I recognize that each person is different and has separate, unique requirements. I'm confident that you'll be satisfied and excited to learn English with me!
--------------------------------------
I've studied and learned a second language (Italian), so I know exactly what types of challenges you, as a learner, are faced with. It can be overwhelming and even stressful sometimes - but it really shouldn't be! I'm here to help you relax and enjoy the English learning process.
I hope you're ready to continue your English journey with me. I'm ready to meet you!

NOTE: One of my most popular lessons is the 'Conversation with Correction' option: During the lesson, I write down 1-2 pages of your errors while we're conversing. As we approach the end of the lesson, I scan the document and share my screen with you. We then correct your errors together. You try to recognize your errors and I help you fine-tune the corrections, providing clear, concise explanations. Once the lesson is over, I scan the document again (this time, with corrections) and send it to you via Verbling's message system. This way, you have a visual copy of your mistakes and can review new vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar structures. The document is an excellent tool to help track your progress and see the improvements you're making / what you need to continue working on.
