I am a Spanish Teacher with more than 15 years of experience in the field. I have taught for many years in the USA in colleges, high schools, elementary schools, and as a private tutor. I am a native speaker of Spanish and a proficient speaker of English. I hold MA in Spanish from the University of California, Davis, where I also worked as a Spanish Instructor.

Being myself a writer (I have two books published) puts me in a privileged position above average Spanish speakers. Not only I have a wider vocabulary, but I can also detect spelling mistakes and punctuation and improve the style of any piece of writing. Therefore I can help students in areas like proofreading and creative writing.

I apply a quite original perspective on difficult topics like the Imperfect Tense and the Subjunctive Mode. I provide unique materials that are uncommon to find and that I have developed throughout time. Those materials are of special benefit for upper intermediate to very advanced students.

I use TPR and a communicative approach, but if your goal is to master specific grammar topics we can focus on those particular items. I adapt to the student's learning style. I teach all levels and all ages. Expect from me a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
