I have a Masters of Arts in Dance History and Theory, and a Masters of Public Administration. I hold both a 40 hour TEFL and a 120 hour TESOL. I have taught English Language Learners in biology classes in high schools in Phoenix, Arizona. I furthermore am an ELL teacher with VIPKid and Education First. I enjoy this work because I love transmitting knowledge and because it is engaging work. I am a published author, with many articles, both in newspapers and in journals. I am a native speaker who was born in Arizona. I also taught Irish dancing, which is not English but it is teaching, for more than two years. I enjoy reading and writing for fun. I am a grant writer who has raised a considerable amount of money for charity. I do this by using language deftly and precisely. I once organized a literary conference on gender. I have spoken at many academic conferences. I am very skilled in making up my own curriculum or adapting curriculum to meet the needs of the student. I am looking to do this work because I enjoy it, primarily. I am also a tutor for graduate and undergraduate students in universities in the Phoenix area. I have tutored in statistics, econometrics, public administration, and other courses, for about 8 years. I am very comfortable with both group and one on one teaching, although I prefer one on one. My teaching style is very positive. I try to use TPR and make content comprehensible. I also know a great deal about grammar and the mechanics of language. I like to share these kindly.
