Cannot record lesson

Hi y'all,
I tried recording the lesson by clicking on:
Chat > green 'plus' sign > Record snippet.
A pop-up window appears.
I can click on the red 'Record' button, but then I can't get rid of the pop-up window and get back to the lesson. All buttons are greyed out and I can only click on the "x" button.
Does anyone know how I can record?
