Hello! Happy to meet you :) An English language teacher with a BA and an MA in English and over 8 years of experience in teaching people from all around the world. My aim is that the student speaks 70-80% of the time and I facilitate the learning process 20-30% of the time. If you want and/or have time to - you can do homework as preparation for the next lesson and/or as consolidation of your knowledge. My tutoring style is interactive, I try to encourage my students to communicate as much as possible and I tailor lessons according to the wishes of the student. I help fluent non-native speakers get heard. Not by improving their English. Honestly, I'm probably not the teacher you're expecting. I don't have a curriculum. I don't use a textbook. I'm not going to correct your grammar or send you vocabulary lists. Half the time I'm not entirely sure where the lesson is going. What I do is talk with you. Really talk. And when I don't understand you — which happens more than you'd think — I say so. Not as a technique. Just because I actually didn't follow. And in that moment, when you have to find another way to make yourself clear to someone who genuinely isn't following, something usually appears that no amount of grammar practice ever reached. I've been doing this for years and I still find it a bit mysterious. But my students keep coming back and they keep getting heard in rooms that used to talk past them.
