I am Gunnar. I was born in the small town of Rostock near the baltic sea. I traveled a lot in my younger years and spend years living in the UK, Israel, Italy, the United States, Canada, and Spain. It gave me the chance to learn and study foreign languages. Something I always loved doing and I still keep on doing. I studied for 3 years History and Linguistics and another 3 years in France Marketing and Management. Beside my language classes I was working in the tourism industry and as a travel guide for many years in France and Italy. My hobbies are sport (running and soccer) as well as photography and art. Now I live with my family in Cusco - Peru where I have started with online classes.
I have been teaching for the last 15 years and I always focused on teaching adults and their specified needs. I have worked for many years at the Goethe Institute Paris, the German School Montreal, and the Mairie de Paris and many different language institutes in Europe. I have been teaching special courses as German for people working in Tourism or German for medicine students. I prepared hundreds of students for the important exams at the Goethe Institute.
The most important thing stays the fact of having fun in every class and talking, talking, and communicating in the language you want to learn – Deutsch. It is important for me to understand your needs and the way you think in order to help you to make progress. I have to know what your abilities are and what your aim is.
I have got the DAF Diploma - Teaching German as a foreign language from the University of Iena and the TOEFL Diploma – Teaching English as a foreign language from the University of Dublin.
