My name is Afua, I am a native Twi speaker living in London. I have been teaching Twi for 4 years and I enjoy it! I am always excited to help people learn the language. I have taught Twi to adults and children, in classroom and online to groups and private one-on-one lessons.
There are two types of Twi students I mostly come across, those that are complete beginners and those that are familiar with the language, may have grown up hearing it and can understand a good amount but are not confident when it comes to speaking; they can't seem to get over the hump to the other side of having fluent conversations. I focus on helping these students at beginner and intermediate level to reach their language goals.
What I find works really well for both groups is following a structured lesson plan which includes conversations to improve student’s fluency and vocabulary. Conversations will be focused on your interest and hobbies to keep classes fun and engaging. I have a range of resources to support your learning journey. I am here to make you feel comfortable as we work together to improve your skills. I teach using both English and Twi.
If you are unsure what you need or where to start, we can discuss this in a trial lesson and find the best way to help you achieve your language goal.
