Hi everyone! My name is Amy. I'm from London, England, and I’m a professional CELTA certified English teacher with more than 13 years of teaching experience. As well as teaching English, I also have a postgraduate master's degree in Theatre and I also work as a theatre and drama teacher. My aim is to help my students learn English in an enjoyable and interactive way, using engaging material chosen for each individual's level, interests, and learning style!
I speak with a neutral British accent and I have experience helping many students with pronunciation and developing a more British accent if that's what they want.
I’m a person who loves a challenge and trying new things. Around 16 years ago I decided I wanted to travel the world and I haven’t stopped since. I’ve travelled extensively and have lived in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. My life is about experiences and learning about different cultures and people, which is why I love teaching English.
I consider myself an artist, an actor, a dancer, and an educator. I have taught English in the UK, Asia, and South America. I have also taught in South Korea and prior to that I taught English in Argentina, where I was living for 6 years, so I also speak Spanish. I have taught a whole range of nationalities and age groups, as well as all levels of English. I have experience teaching very different kinds of classes such as general English, exam preparation classes, pronunciation classes, conversation classes, and grammar classes.
All my classes will be tailored specifically to your needs, focussing on the area that you feel you want to work on and topics that you will find interesting! The most important thing about my classes is that they are fun and interactive. It is much easier to learn a language if you enjoy taking classes! I try to incorporate games, discussions and debates, videos, music, and a whole range of other interesting authentic material into my classes.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. I hope to see you in class!
