Hello! Welcome to my profile!

My name is Eva and I am a native English speaker from London in the United Kingdom. Currently, I live in Mexico working as an English teacher and developing my own Spanish language skills.

What can I offer as a teacher?

1) I teach all different abilities: as a language assistant in Mexican universities for over a year, I have experience teaching English grammar from the basic to the more complex level.
2) I have taught a range of ages: from children, working as a foreign language nanny, to adult English teachers preparing for their certification in Mexico.
3) I have experience in exam preparation: in my last job I taught students taking the TOEFL exam and when I lived in Colombia I wrote IELTS practice exams for listening and reading comprehension.

My teaching approach is to assess your aims and needs as an individual learner and tailor classes to suit you. Everyone learns in different ways. As a dyslexic learner of foreign languages myself, I struggle with memory and spelling but I have developed many strategies to achieve success.

One of my main interests as an English teacher is writing skills. I have an English degree and I know how important writing is, especially when applying for jobs. I can help you with writing CVs, resumes, letters, emails, reports, essays etc.

Most importantly I offer support, encouragement and patience because these, I believe, are essential to enjoying and succeeding in learning a foreign language.
