Über Mich

Hello I'm Grace.

If you would like to book a trial lesson we can discuss your aims and develop an outline of what language areas, skills and topics you would like to cover.

A little about me:
I have recently been living in Brussels, Belgium where I have been teaching young learners, teens and adults English.

Previously, I lived in Lisbon, Portugal until 2018 teaching English in a language school for a year and a half. Teaching up to 12 students in a class from A1-C1 level.

I qualified as a language teacher from the International House gaining my CELTA certificate in 2015.

I read a degree in International Development studies at the University of East Anglia where I spent 10 months during this time in India. This is where I began to develop an interest in teaching English. I volunteered in a Tibetan refugee community assisting and teaching beginners English language skills. This involved illustrating lexicon meaning though acting and drawing as I had very limited resources. Now after having spent over five years in the classroom with access to course books, audios and designing worksheets my teaching style has undoubtedly evolved.

I am now looking forward to adapt to a further method of teaching and learn how to combine and transfer my existing teaching and communication skills with the accessibility of online resources.

I am very interested in teaching students from all over the world. I believe that 1:1 lessons online will inevitably offer an insight into various language learning interests, aptitudes and approaches. I have always enjoyed teaching 1:1. In my opinion, this is the best way to assist individuals learning-as they have your full attention and error correction is a lot less impeding without the dynamic of peers overhearing. More so, tailoring the lesson content and aims for individual interests will lead to the lessons being of considerable quality and a valuable use of time.

I offer communicative and conversational lessons. I am keen to create lesson content that will help you reach your language learning objectives.

I am able to teach young learners, teens and adults.

I look forward to meeting you.
