I am a TEFL diploma and Masters in Commerce graduate excited about helping eager students learn the English language.
I have 7 years’ experience in the Project Management and Research sectors where amongst other things, I trained and mentored individuals and teams. I enjoy helping and seeing people reach their goals and love the feeling of making a difference in students’ lives.
Task based Language learning is my preferred teaching method. I prefer a practical approach to language learning, using topics and tasks students are able to relate to and use in their everyday lives. I feel the method also gives students and opportunity to draw on, recall and revise their existing English knowledge, which boosts their confidence in their knowledge and vocabulary, while simultaneously peaking the students interest using topics which are relevant and enjoyable to them.
I also add additional teaching methods based on the individual students goals and requirements which I enquire about and establish during student's initial lesson by conducting a needs analysis. The student's subsequent lessons will be based on the needs analysis. The needs analysis will ensure lessons will be devised according to the students requirements, preferred learning style, motivation and goals.
I am looking forward to joining the Verbling team and helping multiple students learn and be excited by the English language.
