About Me
I am from the South of England but in January 2024 I moved to Madrid, Spain. I have lived in Spain before as well as France and Germany but I have taught students from many different countries and love learning about different cultures.
In my spare time, I like studying Spanish, dancing, reading and visiting the city as well as other cities in Spain.
Me as a Teacher
I have 18 years (nearly six years online) teaching experience in teaching all ages and all levels.
I have a lot of experience in both General English and Business English. I have also helped prepare a lot of students for all the different Cambridge exams including FCE, CAE, Proficiency and IELTS.
I have taught in the UK, Spain and Germany, in schools, companies and at home.
I have a very good knowledge of grammar and also very experienced in helping students with their vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, reading and speaking skills.
Because I have learnt languages myself, I totally understand what it is like to be a language learner and I hope this makes me a better teacher.
My Lessons & Teaching Style
I always make sure I plan my lessons very well. I want them to be interesting with a good variety of activities and materials. I like to think I have a fairly good sense of humour so hopefully we will have some fun too!
The structure of the lessons very much depends on you. In the first class we will talk about exactly what YOU want. Then, if appropriate, I will plan out a course for you, check that you are happy with it and we can get started!
However, you may want a more relaxed structure for example just conversation, then of course we can do that.
So whether it's General, Business or Academic English I can help and if you would like homework I am very happy to provide that too.

I joined Capita as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant in December 2005 and was responsible for placing Interim Managers in senior management posts within the Local Government sector. • In June 2007, I moved across to a different area of the business and was promoted to Account Manager. • In that role I headed a team that run complex recruitment campaigns for senior and specialist public sector roles. I was responsible for advising on and organising advertising media and schedules, the creation of recruitment websites, response handling, assessment and short-listing, interviews, referencing/pre-appointment checks and providing management information/statistics at the end of the campaign.

Responsibilities included: • Recruitment of all teaching staff – placing adverts, interviewing and negotiating contracts and pay rates. • Meeting with representatives from all the main publishers, ordering teaching material and setting up of library from scratch. • Designing of all course syllabi and teaching timetables. • Coordination of placement testing and allocation of students to classes. • Observing Teachers and organising monthly training sessions.
