Über Mich
Hi! My name is Natalie, and I’ve been teaching English as a second language for 8 years. I’m very familiar with the struggles and needs that English learners face, which allows me to meet my students where they are and help them move forward with pride.
What makes my classes different? My classes are centered around self-reflection, personal experiences, and our perceptions of people - what they struggle with or how they inspire us. On those topics, our conversations might be light, funny, and easygoing one day, or deep and emotional the next.
Why? Two reasons. One, an enjoyable social bond promotes consistency for transforming your skill set. And two, when you know and understand yourself, you can build confidence and strength to learn a new skill. (Of course , whenever you have a topic in mind, we can do that one.)
I enjoy teaching everyone from true beginners to advanced students who want to refine their skills. I’m passionate about getting to know people and helping them use the tool of the English language to reach their dreams. I bring patience, a sense of humor, and strong grammar knowledge to every class. I always come to class with a specific but flexible plan. I follow my student’s needs and take their lead while gently pushing them outside their comfort zone.
We have incredible technology at our fingertips that can translate for us today, but I believe there’s something especially empowering about owning that knowledge independently. Challenging the mind, as well as the human connection, should not be replaced. So come take a class with a human who will listen, laugh, and guide you. I’d love to meet you!
