Über Mich
Hello and welcome! I'm Nesreen, an Egyptian Arabic teacher with 13 years of experience helping non-native speakers learn Arabic and read the Quran step by step, whether you're starting from the alphabet or want to rebuild your confidence.
I love seeing students read their first words, join their first conversation, or recite their first verses with correct pronunciation. That is why I plan every lesson around a clear goal and plenty of practice, and I'm happy to adapt to adults and children, beginners and returning learners.
I'm a graduate of Cairo University, and I have also trained other Arabic teachers, so I know where learners usually struggle and how to help.
I teach Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian colloquial, as well as Quran reading and Tajweed, and I'd be glad to help you choose the path that fits your goal.
Education and qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom, Cairo University (2013)
• General and Special Diplomas in Preparing Arabic Teachers for Non-Native Speakers
• Pre-Master's in Curricula and Teaching Methods (2018)
Experience
I have been teaching Arabic to non-native speakers since 2013, working with both adults and children from different countries. I have also trained a group of Arabic teachers and take part in preparing educational curricula for non-native learners.
What I teach
• Arabic for beginners: alphabet, reading, writing and first conversations
• Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) and Egyptian colloquial Arabic
• Grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension
• Quran reading and Tajweed (if you wish)
My teaching method
I start by finding out your level and your goal. Then we move step by step, and I practise each new point in more than one way (listening, speaking, reading and writing) until it feels natural. I choose from well-known textbooks such as Al-Kitab Al-Asasi, Al-Arabiyya Bayna Yadayk and Al-Fanar, and with children I use games and activities to keep lessons enjoyable.

In our first session, we'll talk about why you want to learn Arabic, check your current level, and try a short, practical activity together, so you can see how I teach and whether it feels right for you. At the end, I'll suggest a clear starting plan based on your goal.
