I'm Anne, I'm from the rainy and beautiful Bretagne (in France) and I now live in the less rainy and weirdly beautiful Berlin :)
I am passionate about pedagogy and sharing knowledge. I used to be a French teacher for teenagers for two years in French's National Education, and decided two years ago to expand my working field to teaching French as a foreign language, for both adults and teenagers, and it turned out to be a very interesting new approach !
As I'm myself learning German, I understand the struggles you face when you learn a new language. I know that it is sometimes hard to dive into this new world and how much a safe atmosphere is important when it comes to make this challenge self-rewarding and stay motivated.
That's why, after a first meeting, we'll define together your needs and personal objectives, so that I can adapt my lessons. We'll answer two important questions : what goals do you want to achieve (focus on oral skills, pass an exam, understand verbs’ conjugation...) and how do you personally find motivation ?
Positive emotions and motivation help us memorize better, like repetition. So, depending on which learner you are, we can resort to games, flash-cards, mind-maps, creative activities so as to solicit imagination and have fun... You can propose themes (and I have a bunch in stock!), so that I build courses or workshops that would help you learning by working on subjects you're interested in.
We can also talk about French culture, you might discover some strange facts about us (frog eaters…). And you’re more than welcome to share about your culture !
And lastly, my goal will be to provide you with tools so that you become as autonomous as possible in your learning.
I'm a caring and enthusiastic teacher, you're more than welcome to try a first course with me, and see if it suits you !
