Language enthusiasts of Verbling: What language would you choose to be the 'Lingua Franca'/world language, and why?
il y a 5 ansCurrently English is the a common means a common means of communication for speakers of different first languages, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's the best choice. I certainly wouldn't chose English myself, because as someone once said "English is not a language, it's three languages wearing a trench coat pretending to be one."
I would personally chose Esperanto for it's simple grammar, or Hungarian, as it is completely phonetic and highly expressive. If given the chance to start over, which language would you choose to be the main language of the world?
