We all teach, learn, and study in different ways, but what are some tips and tricks you have picked up on your own learning/teaching journeys?

For example, I use handy application to make reading on a computer easier. It's called Skim and is essentially a more powerful PDF reader. You can bookmark highlighted parts of the text to reference them later, and generally annotate the PDF.
