À propos de moi
I have been a professional Greek tutor (Greek is my first language) and a certified translator for over 30 years. I hold a BA from the Department of Greek and English Language and Literature at the University of Athens.
Over the course of my career, I have taught adult learners from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia, working with a wide range of proficiency levels and learning goals. I can also help learners to prepare for official exams at A1 level. I approach language as a practical tool for communication and self-expression rather than as a closed system of abstract rules. From the very first lesson, students are actively exposed to and encouraged to use authentic Greek in meaningful contexts, building confidence through real interaction with the language.
My teaching methodology is flexible and student-cantered, combining structure with communicative practice. I draw on a diverse range of materials, including course books, short stories, newspaper and magazine articles, audiovisual content, videos and songs. This variety ensures that lessons remain engaging while also developing all core skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
My goal is to help learners not only understand Greek, but to use it naturally and effectively in real-life situations.

Mes leçons d’essai
The purpose of the trial lesson is for us to become acquainted, talk through your goals and expectations, and outline how I teach. It also allows us to see whether my lessons match what you’re looking for in your learning journey.
If you’re an absolute beginner with no Greek at all, you’ll also pick up your first simple phrases, such as greeting someone and introducing yourself by saying your name.
