Merhaba! I’m Dilek, a certified Turkish teacher from İstanbul, and a native speaker of Turkish. I've been teaching Turkish as a second language for nine years now, two years being at the French consulate in Istanbul, and the remaining in various contexts like universities, one-on-one settings, and online platforms. I received my bachelor degree in Translation and Interpreting from one of the top universities in Turkey. I’ve been giving private lessons for fifteen years. I like art, music, reading, films, food, etc. and I'm a language learner myself.

You are all welcome! During classes, I will encourage you to speak and use what you’ve learnt actively starting from the very first moment, even if you are a complete beginner. I like teaching in a friendly, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I plan lessons considering all kinds of skills like reading, listening, writing, and speaking. But the main content and speed of the lessons focus on your needs. In addition to a main course book, I make use of extra exercises, homework, activities, pictures, drawings, games, videos, songs, and so on, using authentic material whenever possible.
