Hello, my name is Ilias and I come from Greece. Recently I moved to Belgium and I work here as a Foreign Languages instructor. I got my Bachelor’s degree in German philology and I have been working as a German Teacher for almost 5 years. In combination with my job, I continued my studies and I got my Master’s degree in Special Education, driven by the belief that a teacher must always be prepared to confront any upcoming language abnormalities in a classroom. My love and devotion to my mother language encouraged me to teach also the Greek language. During my studies for my Master’s Degree, I followed seminars in Teaching Greek as a Foreign Language, in order for the appropriate skills to be acquired. I have started teaching Greek to foreign students, young and adults since then.

When it comes to the teaching methods, the implementation of various online and interactive sources is required. We will make use of a web-based tool for creating presentations (f.e. prezi). What you are seeing right now on your computer is called a prezi presentation. We will do together many presentations, when you are ready of course. Another way of teaching will be the implementation of an online whiteboard where we can solve exercises together, note rules down etc. It’s a very convenient method for you too. Besides that, I will give you a unique password, so that you can have access to an online platform with your studying material, so that you will be always informed about the schedule, the exercises, the timing of the upcoming tests etc. You can also find additional online sources to practice your Greek either on your own, or with my guidance. It is true… success can be achieved only through right planning.
