Hi! My name is Leigh, and I am a TEFL certified English Teacher from the United States. I have several years of experience in both the United States, and Italy. I love working with students of all ages. Small groups are welcome as well! Students in a group must be on the same level. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, writing, fitness related activities, my family, and my pets. Actually, I enjoy everyone's pets. I never met a furry creature I didn't love :)
Learning a new language (Italian) and living abroad has made me a better teacher. There are some things that can't be learned in a textbook, and this experience has been one of them. Because of this, I have designed a course called Survival English.
Survival English is taught in groups of 5-10 lessons. In Survival English, I will teach you the words and phrases you need for everyday life in English. You'll learn words for everyday household, food, and clothing items. You will also learn how to tell time, ask for directions, and order in a restaurant. Some things will be geared to American life, but some are quite universal within the English language. If you purchase a Survival English package, message me "Survival English" after your purchase. I've recently lowered my rates significantly. I realize that it is a difficult time for so many around the globe, but the desire to learn language and culture is still with us.
