My name's Ninoska and I am really passionate about teaching languages and literature. I got a degree in English Studies, a master's degree in English Literature and I recently obtained my PGCE for Secondary Education. I worked for a whole academic year at a Language Academy and I also did my external practices for a few months at a High School.
Taking as reference the experience I gained over the past months, I'd say that teaching requires flexibility, that is, to be able to teach and connect with the student, teachers need to be able to adapt their knowledge and answer to the students' needs. The best way to do so is by organizing classes in advance and carrying out assessments periodically so you can track the student's progress or difficulties. I learned how to be flexible and well organized, and to make the teaching process quite practical since as I learner of a second language myself, every day life situations are a challenge that are not taught in text books. For this reason, practicality is essential in my teaching process.
