Hello everyone! I am teacher from the USA who is passionate about teaching English as a second language. I always look forward to delivering the best lessons that I can and I always do my best to try and learn from each and every experience. I graduated from University back in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. From there I decided I wanted to travel a bit and looked at ways in which I could do that. I came across the idea of teaching English as a second language. I decided to get a CELTA certification because I read about how prestigious is is in the ESL world. In 2014 I received my Pass B CELTA certification and was ready to start teaching. Currently I am progressing my CELTA certification even further by becoming DELTA certified. In April of 2015 I finally found a job that I felt comfortable with and decided to go for it! I ended up in Arequipa, Peru thinking I was only going to be here for three months. After leaving over a year later, I knew I had found what I wan...

A native British English speaker, I have been passionate about language learning since school. I studied Modern Languages at university in the UK, and continue to study Spanish, so understand the challenges of language learning from the student's perspective too. I did Cambridge CELTA teacher training at the end of 2016 (after years of informal teaching) and worked for two years in Colombia, with a wide variety of business, university, school and private students. Now back in the UK, I teach international learners of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and contexts. I love the variety of students and the breadth of teaching skills that entails. I have top qualifications and extensive experience, in general, business and academic English, as well as in Cambridge, IELTS and TOEFL international exams. Being a good teacher is all about working with the student to find the personalized way that most effectively helps them grow in confidence and achieve their goals. It’s about connecting...

Hello all and thanks for viewing my profile! Please allow me to tell you a little about myself. I have 3 TEFL certifications (20, 100 and120 hr certificates). I have been teaching English for nearly three years with over 2500 taught lessons and counting! Over the years, I've had a chance to visit several countries including Japan, Korea, Costa Rica and Taiwan. I've had an opportunity to teach different nationalities including people from Russia, Brazil, Spain, Japan, Korea, France, China, Ukraine and several other nationalities. I aim to treat each person as an individual. While it may work for some, I am reluctant to take a (one size fits all) approach. Needless to say, my students share the common goal of wanting to learn English but each of them has different routes they need to take in order to reach their common goal. Therefore, I don't believe in teaching everyone in the same way. I like to first talk with people and see what it is they need to work on the most. No need...

Greetings! My name is Tom, and I am an experienced English teacher, having taught about 9,000 online lessons, 5,000+ face-to-face lessons, and hundreds of group lessons. Learning a language takes time and effort. Unfortunately, we humans have no USB ports through which we can simply upload English into our brains overnight. Real progress is gradual: it comes through practice, patience and the right guidance. I therefore do not promise miraculous fluency within a few weeks. What I can offer is careful, structured teaching that helps you make steady and lasting progress. My lessons are not simply conversations. I actively teach, correct and explain, and each lesson is tailored to your level, goals, strengths and weak points. I want you to understand not only what sounds right in English, but also why it is right and how you can use it confidently yourself. I specialise particularly in British English, including pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary and the differences between Brit...
