I have 20 yrs teaching experience in Speech & Drama with children; BA in English & Literature; TEFL certificate & C2 proficiency in English. Winner of 2012 Short Story Competition. I've taught English to foreigners online for four years and am dedicated and dynamic. I am trained in phonics, grammar, correct pronunciation and confident communication. I am definitely one of the best teachers for children and creative adults who want an authentic language learning experience! I use the Communicative Method with story, song, lyrics, rhyme, conversation, role-playing, building vocabulary. I will also use PPT and text documents as necessary for spelling and grammar. I help my students to understand how words and phrases are constructed so I use spider-word webs to connect words, ideas, phrases and popular expressions. I prefer British English but have taught English with US spelling and pronunciation. I am inspiring, very motivating, always supportive but will challenge my st...
Hi, My Name is Jared. I'm a native English teacher from New Zealand and I have been working in education for over 10 years. I hold a TESOL certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. More importantly, my experience includes over 10,000 hours of online English classes and I have taught in both the academic and outdoor education sectors. Teaching is something I love so much because not only can I teach from my experiences, I can also learn a lot from my student's experiences. Currently, I am living and working in South America, where I myself am a language student. My style is heavily based on conversational English with an emphasis on teaching pronunciation and vocabulary in fun and interesting ways.

Hello everyone, my name is Carl and I was born in Canada. I have a passion for teaching, and believe teaching like learning should be fun to get the most out of it. I focus on Pronunciation using Phonetics (what does it sound like). Most of my students struggle, because they are still using their native sounds while speaking English, which is why they usually have a strong accent. In my classes we keep it simple and go back to basics, discussing the sounds that each letter of the English Alphabet make, it’s Vowels and Consonants, and then moving on to Syllables and how that changes the Intonation of their speaking. Speaking is sound, and sound is physical, it is all about the parts of the mouth being in the correct position, so if the parts of your mouth are in the same position as mine, we will make the same sound. You don’t have to think about it, it just happens. There are 26 letters in the English Alphabet, but there are a minimum of between 39 and 48 sounds, depending on which...

I love my job! Just two weeks after I began teaching in 2009, I realised that I had a talent. Therefore, teaching has always been easy for me and I feel very confident. Many long-term students have become my friends. I have several unique selling points that are important when future students are searching for their teacher. Slowly, step by step, I too learnt elementary grammar together with my students and, since then, I can competently explain it. I enjoy grammar whereas the majority of native speakers cannot explain grammar at all, because they do not know it themselves. They learnt English as children and were never taught the rules of grammar at school. Furthermore, I have a nice British accent. In fact, my accent quickly improved when I first lived overseas 17 years ago. I began to deliberately speak clearly, carefully pronouncing every word, so that people could understand me more easily. This quickly became my normal speech. Furthermore, now I can speak conversational...
