Hello, I am a native English speaker (British) and have been teaching English since 2008. I am Celta and Delta qualified and am a trained Cambridge speaking examiner. I have lots of experience with general and business English at all ages and levels. I have taught monolingual and multilingual classes in many countries including Ecuador, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain and Australia. I am bilingual, I speak Spanish fluently. I studied French and German at school and have picked up some Portuguese over the years. I am currently learning Italian. My teaching demeanor is friendly, calm, professional and patient. I have a wide range of interests including: travelling, cooking, photography, psychology, philosophy, science, politics, health and fitness, business and art. I have taught English (ESL) in Japan for 27 years. I am American but have lived in Japan for that long. I served as editor, college instructor, Head of English Reading Research, seminar teacher of teachers, and official English grammarian and FAQ Man for the Speed Reading Systems Division of KUMON at its World Headquarters, Ichigaya, Japan.
