I was born and raised in Belgium, so my native language is Dutch (Flemish). I am also very familiar with Dutch from the Netherlands since I used to live 12 years in Amsterdam. I have lived, studied, and worked in several wonderful places around the world. As a cultural and social anthropologist, I am very passionate about learning and teaching languages and discovering different cultures. Apart from my native Dutch, I am also fluent in English and Spanish. The past years I have been learning Modern Greek with an online tutor too. I am a 39-year-old Dutch and Frisian native tutor. I would love to help you learn the Dutch language, customs, and culture. In the first 32 years of my life, I was in The Netherlands where I have been teaching, training, and mentoring written and spoken Dutch to all skill levels. In the past 7 years, I have been living throughout Europe. I teach because it is fun. At secondary school, my friends asked me to help them with math and economics. I started teaching Dutch as a student at university. My pupils were usually business school students. Later on, I moved to a different university, in Nijmegen, and taught subjects like environmental economics, history and Dutch language. After finishing another project at the university, I decided to start my own IT company. As a company owner, I do projects for companies all over the world, including the department of Languages and Cultures at the University of London. Currently, I spend approximately half of my time as a language teacher and half of my time as an IT expert. I have also been working as a voluntary language teacher at a local organization in my city, which helps immigrants to start a new life in their new home country.
