I was born and raised in Igbo land, in Nigeria, where I spent uninterrupted 27 years of my life and schooled up to university level. Growing up, I always had the desire to keep Igbo language alive and contribute to its development as much as I can. I have translated report and research articles for government and non-governmental agencies in Nigeria. Despite being formally educated in Igbo language, I design layman friendly lesson plans, materials and homework on each topic to be treated. I will empower you to know how to put Igbo words together and sound like native speakers on your own. I design lessons and homework based on your environment, interests, and learning capacity. I am Nigerian and British. I grew up speaking Igbo and loving our culture and worried that if major investments are not made to keep the Culture alive then it will become extinct. I currently live in London and can see the struggle of parents to achieve teaching their children the language. I started to teach out of passion. My first student is my daughter and we use the walk to school time to revise the language. She is getting confident to teach her friends and teachers any new word she learns. Hello, my name is Ada short for Adanma, I am a Nigerian and also resident in Nigeria. I am from the Igbo tribe, so I grew up listening, learning and speaking Igbo language as well as observing omenala ndi' Igbo. I have a BSc in Biochemistry, a 120-Hour TESOL Certificate, a UN Certificate of Appreciation for my role as an Igbo Language Instructor in the China Africa Peace Initiative (CAPI) and three years teaching experience in both classroom teaching and online tutoring.
