Today it looks like it's going to rain.
During the winter, it snows in Sweden.

She didn't know she'd have to go to the movies that very same weekend

Mondays, no the Mondays
Tuesdays, no the Tuesdays
Etc.

Cosas únicas: sí

El sol: the Sun
La tierra: The Earth
El Papa: The Pope

Sustantivos no contables: no

Love is blind: El amor es ciego

PERO, cuando se concreta, sí que lleva.

The love I give you is forever: El amor que te doy es para siempre.

The dogs I saw yesterday were adorable: Los perros que vi ayer fueron adorables
PERO
Dogs are good pets: Los perros son buenas mascotas

Furniture, no furnitures (muebles)
Homework, no homeworks (tareas)
Men, no mens (hombres)
Sheep, no sheeps (ovejas)
Women, no womens (mujeres)
Children, no childs o childrens (niños)

  1. Uso incorrecto de las preposiciones at, in, y on
En español, mientras que usamos una sola preposición "en" para indicar la posición, en inglés usamos tres distintas: at, in, y on.

We're at the restaurant - Estamos en el restaurante
We're on my street - Estamos en mi calle
We're in the basement - Estamos en el sótano

Hi there! I'm currently accepting all levels of students for English. As noted on my résumé, I have a degree from an accredited American university in Linguistics and Spanish and several months of experience with teaching English. In addition, I've also completed my TEFL certification which included over 20 hours of practicum observation and student teaching. Evidence of these credentials may be reproduced at students' request. I would describe my teaching style as very open-ended. I want to create whatever kind of class my students want. If you want our course time to be more conversational than instructional, that can be arranged. If you enjoy doing exercises on a specific topic, that too can be arranged.
