Master more than one language could give significant benefits in the developing brain. Some research now state that bilingual young adults not only do better in the labor market, but may also show more empathy and problem solving skills.

The fact is that American adults are mostly monolingual speaking only English, even those who early on began speaking more than one language. Based on the latest research, it may be time for the emphasis on monolingualism United States should re-think.

To speak two languages has advantages?

Over the past decade, my research has focused on academic, social and civil development of young immigrants, especially in the ways in which schools determine the way in which these students experience learning, friendship and their communities .

As a former bilingual elementary school teacher, I witnessed how to perform well in both languages offered them to students significant academic and social advantages.

However, what was missing was the link between early social and academic advantages and entering the labor market as young adults.

Despite all the research that supports bilingualism in children, it has only been recently that scholars have begun to understand bilingualism in the professional lives of adults.

Bilinguals make better grades in exams, have mejoresdestrezas for solving problems, have a keener mental perception and richer access to social networks.

In addition, young bilingual can get help from mentors both in the language of their communities and the dominant culture.

These young people benefit from the wisdom of this: the more invest adults in the child, the stronger. The bilingual child benefits to grow in two or more settings.

Bilingual people are more likely to get jobs

Young bilingual not only more likely to graduate from high school and enter college, but also are more likely to get a job when attending an interview. Even when requirements do not include the applicant is bilingual, a study on interviews shows that California employers prefer to hire and retain these bilingual people. Currently, the Fortune 500 high-powered hire bilingual employees and biliterate so they can serve as a link for customers.

Some research links bilingualism with more intellectual approach and a delayed onset of symptoms of dementia. Frequent use of multiple languages is also linked to the development of a mayorempatía.
Nevertheless, despite the investigations, 4 of every 5 American adults speak only English.

It is in that monmento, and then show the main advantages of starting parendeizaje second language, I invite everyone to learn as a second language, Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, we all like your prinunciación , her accent and customs of native speakers, is for them and to deepen these with concepts that I invite you to my classes, where they not only learn, but also have fun by translating their daily into another language such as Spanish experiences. You can discover how we live and that we are not so different in background, only that we communicate with accents and different terms, that can find my fun classes.
