How does discipline, or the lack of, affect your life?

How would you rate yourself on a scale as to your level of discipline? A 10 being high, very disciplined, or 1 being very low, not very disciplined at all. Do you believe that it is important to be more disciplined? Why or why not? What kind of impact does it have on you and or others?
