Hi :D
My name is Fatima. I live in Birmingham, UK. I am a TEFL certified English teacher with a master’s degree in English language teaching and applied linguistics. Prior to all of this, I worked in a travel agency where I used to keep a record of our profit and loss account. Now I mostly focus on teaching private students online.

I grew up in a multi-lingual household where we never communicated in one language. This is one of the primary reasons why languages are so important to me.

I highly recommend that you first book a trial lesson. We will discuss why you are learning English and what your goals are. This will also allow me to get a better understanding of your current level. After that, we will plan our future sessions based on areas of the language you struggle with. I always keep a note of common errors/mistakes so that I can address them with you at the end of class. These errors will often influence what we will do in the next lessons. Revisiting language is very important so that you do not forget what you have learnt.

We can work on your conversational skills with unstructured classes where we only have a topic to discuss. In contrast to this, we can also have more structured classes where we focus on: grammar, listening, speaking, reading, writing, academic English or business English. I also offer homework at the end of class but that is entirely up to you.

My simple goal is to support you on this crazy rollercoaster that we call language learning.
