My name is Teacher Alan. I am from the UK, I have a BSc in Music Technology with Electronics. Since graduating in 2000 I have worked as a RF (Radio Frequency) Engineer in the semiconductor industry. I moved into oil and gas in 2005. I have 10 years experience in electrical production control systems, Topside and Subsea. I have provided product specific training, presented to global managers and conducted design reviews via WebEx with participants in the UK, Norway, Singapore and India. With the global down turn in oil and gas I was served my redundancy. I went traveling for 5 months Canada, S.E. Asia, Fiji and Australia. I moved to Thailand in March 2016. I completed a TEFL course in Phuket Thailand. I taught 6 lessons to young to old adults as part of the course. I have been teaching English in Krabi Thailand since June 2016. I really enjoy teaching and I prefer teaching to engineering. I get to know my students and I make lessons as relevant to the students as possible. I think this has a more productive approach as my students learn quicker when the subject is relevant and of interest to them.
