Korean Is Less Scary Than It Looks ā I'll Prove It š | Certified Teacher with 7 Years of Experience | B.A. in Korean Language Education | Based in Busan š°š·
Hi, I'm Jun ā a Korean language teacher based in Busan, South Korea. Yes, I really do think Korean is less scary than it looks, and after 7 years of teaching students from all over the world, I've seen the exact moment it starts to click for people. That moment is my favorite part of the job. š
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Korean Language Education, so there's a real method behind every lesson ā not just fluency. I've also lived in Australia and Taiwan, which means I genuinely know what it's like to struggle with a foreign language, and I bring that patience and perspective into every class. Whether you're here because of K-dramas, a trip to Korea, or just pure curiosity, you're in the right place.
Outside of class, I'm into traveling, K-dramas, music, and staying active. The best lessons happen when we're talking about things we actually care about ā so tell me what's yours. š
āļø Why Choose Me?
š Trained to Teach: Bachelor's degree in Korean Language Education ā real methodology behind every lesson, not just fluency.
š 7 Years, 6,000+ Lessons: Taught across multiple platforms to students from all over the world ā every stage of the journey is familiar to me.
š Real Results: Students have passed TOPIK, built confident everyday conversation skills, and gone from zero to holding full conversations in Korean.
šÆ Fully Personalized: No generic lesson plans. Every class is built around your goals, pace, and interests.
š Custom-Built Learning Tools: I developed my own AI-powered Korean vocabulary quiz platform that I use with students ā personalized quizzes, sentence writing, and speaking practice with AI pronunciation feedback, all based on exactly what we cover together.
āļø Teaching Philosophy
My approach is rooted in communicative teaching: real-life usage over textbook drills, with a relaxed environment where mistakes aren't embarrassing ā they're the whole point. Progress happens fastest when you feel comfortable enough to just try. And Korean really is more logical than it looks ā once the pieces start falling into place, it gets genuinely fun.
š” Courses

ā Free Talking ā Casual conversation practice on any topic

ā General Lessons
[Absolute Beginner]
We start with Hangul and basic vocabulary and grammar. Lessons are primarily in English, with Korean gradually introduced as your confidence grows.
[Beginner]
Already know some Hangul? We'll expand your grammar and vocabulary, shift more of the class into Korean, and practice the everyday conversations you'll actually use.
[Intermediate]
Less grammar drilling, more real communication. Expect discussions, role-plays, debates, and media like dramas and news. We'll also work on idiomatic expressions and writing to round out your skills.
[Advanced]
Fully immersive lessons covering nuanced grammar, specialized vocabulary, and in-depth content like Korean literature, film, and current events. Challenging, but satisfying.
ā Free Talking
Want low-pressure speaking practice? We pick a topic you're interested in and just talk. Great for building fluency and getting comfortable with natural Korean conversation.

Le mie lezioni di prova
In our first session, we'll get to know each other and I'll get a clear picture of where you are in Korean and where you want to go. We'll chat, do a quick level check, and by the end you'll have a concrete action plan for your learning. I'll also introduce you to the custom quiz tools I use between lessons to make vocabulary actually stick. No pressure ā think of it as a relaxed conversation about your Korean journey. š
