My name is Noemy and I'm an experienced Spanish instructor from Spain. I hold a M.A. degree in Spanish Language and Applied Linguistics with emphasis on TESOL and have been trained in didactics.
I have extensive teaching experience at all levels, from complete beginners to students taking the Spanish Proficiency Test (DELE); I have worked abroad, specifically in the United States where I taught both individual and group lessons at University, Secondary, and Elementary level.
My teaching philosophy is based around the idea of 'I do, We do, You do.' This means that I show the students how to do it, then students do the lesson with me, and then my students take what they have learned to work independently.
My goal is to help my students to understand why they are learning a language by making connections to the outside world where the language is being used for real tasks. Throughout different projects, conversations, and activities, my students work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
