I am a TEFL-certified, native English tutor who has taught English to students at all levels. I specialize in coaching for the TOEFL and IELTS exams. However, I have teach students at all levels of students, including beginners and those who want to become more fluent in English.

I'm an American who grew up in the US and Japan (I went to an international school in Tokyo). Other than America and Japan, I have lived in Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar, and currently living in Germany. I'm a former journalist and editor who now exclusively teaches ESL, TOEFL & IELTS online.

I use an online platform with pictures, audio, and engaging lessons to enhance learning. I have you take a placement test through this platform so I can customize a learning plan for you. The platform includes courses for beginners to advanced learners and covers all types of topics: business English, targeted grammar practice, English for traveling, vocabulary building, idioms, etc. You will be assigned homework on the materials that we learned in class to reinforce learning.

For TOEFL & IELTS:

1. I have you take a placement test (through this online platform that I use) to see where you are in terms of grammar, sentence construction, vocabulary, etc.

2. Before each class, I will send you a plan for our lesson so you are clear on what we will cover. You're welcome to add to that.

3. Your work will be assessed according to the criteria needed to score higher for both exams. I will mark your homework and edit your essay when we are not in class so you can get the best out of our lessons together.

4. You will be assigned homework.

5. I will customize the lessons according to your request and my assessment.
