I taught in a classroom setting in South Korea for many years, and am now teaching on Verbling from my home in the United States. The most common kind of lesson plan I use includes: 1. Everyday English - We will ask each other common everyday English questions: "What time is it?", "What day is it today?", "How's the weather?", "What did you do today?" 2. Reading (+vocabulary, comprehension, and discussion) -We will take turns reading a news article. OR Grammar (beginning/ intermediate/ advanced) - we will work on one grammar module per lesson 3. Conversation (topical or casual) - We will take turns asking each other questions about any topic, or we can just have an open conversation. I'm an IELTS coach with a business and engineering background. I work with intermediate and advanced students. My aim is to get my students speaking as much as possible about the things that interest them. I have traveled to many countries in my previous occupation as a senior engineer in a global manufacturing company. I used to interview engineers and was an assessment centre assessor.
