I am a native English speaker with 23 years experience teaching English as a foreign language. During my teaching career, I have helped thousands of private students from all over the world. In addition to this, I have worked in several academies where the students have been working towards Cambridge exams (PET, FCE, CAE and CPE), IELTS, TOEIC. I have 3 TEFL certifications (20, 100 and120 hr certificates). I have been teaching English for nearly three years with over 2500 taught lessons and counting!
Over the years, I've had a chance to visit several countries including Japan, Korea, Costa Rica and Taiwan. I've had an opportunity to teach different nationalities including people from Russia, Brazil, Spain, Japan, Korea, France, China, Ukraine and several other nationalities.
I aim to treat each person as an individual. While it may work for some, I am reluctant to take a (one size fits all) approach. Needless to say, my students share the common goal of wanting to learn English but each of them has different routes they need to take in order to reach their common goal.
Therefore, I don't believe in teaching everyone in the same way. I like to first talk with people and see what it is they need to work on the most. No need...
