Selena Gomez quiere aprender más español

Selena Gomez concedía recientemente una entrevista a la revista Harper’s Bazaar en la que hablaba de su futuro laboral y hablaba abiertamente de algunos problemas con los que ha tenido que lidiar en estos últimos meses. Así, confesaba que no creía que su batalla contra la ansiedad y la depresión fuera a acabar nunca. Pero la cantante también habló de otros temas, como que le encantaría abrazar sus raíces y aprender más español.

En la entrevista, reconoció que siente un terrible amor-odio por Instagram. Considera que la red social permite a muchos tener una voz en medio de toda la gente, pero al mismo tiempo es peligrosa por la falsa imagen que aporta de la realidad. Pero además de eso, la cantante se atrevió a hablar de cómo se siente respecto a su origen latino.

Cuando en la entrevista le preguntaron por su ascendencia mejicana, dice que es “extremadamente” importante para ella: “Me veo cada día a mi misma en el espero cada día y pienso ‘tío, ojalá supiera más español’”. Recuerda una historia sobre conocer a una familia latina durante una grabación de Los Magos de Waverly Place y darse cuenta de lo importante que es la representación. Fue entonces cuando dijó: “Ahora más que nunca, estoy orgullosa de ello. Pero todavía tengo que aprender español”.

Y si Selena Gomez no está produciendo un programa de televisión, componiendo y grabando música, siendo un icono de la moda o actuando, le gusta pasar las noches de sábado como el resto de la gente: saliendo por ahí a cenar. “Si quiero salir con mis amigos, no voy mucho a los sitios de moda, y la gente sabe que no deberían invitarme a ese tipo de sitios porque no voy a ir”, explicó la cantante. “Me gusta a ir a restaurantes bonitos, pero también me gusta Chili’s (la cadena de restaurantes mejicanos). Me encanta ir a Chili’s y comer queso y chips”, confesó.

Selena también dio algunas pistas sobre ese nuevo disco que saldrá no dentro de mucho y que le está costando tanto tiempo preparar “Cuando la gente me pregunta por qué, soy sincera: es porque no he estado preparada, afirmó. “Quiero decir, todavía no estoy segura de donde está mi música. Si eso me lleva diez años, entonces serán 10 años. No me importa”.

Esperamos que Selena no nos haga esperar 10 años para su próximo disco. Y quien sabe, igual se atreve de nuevo a cantar en español como con ‘Un Año Sin Ver Llover’ hace ya unos años, cuando todavía estaba en la factoría Disney.
