Vamos con algunos ejemplos
For example:
"Trabajo por ti" = I am working in your place (doing your shift because you are sick). 🤝
"Trabajo para ti" = You are my boss! I am working for you. 💼
Use PARA for the Destination or Goal (The "End Point" 🎯):
Recipient: Este café es para ti. (For you)
Deadline: La tarea es para el lunes. (By Monday)
Purpose: Estudio español para viajar. (In order to travel)
Use POR for the Cause, Duration, or Exchange (The "In-Between" 🔄):
Duration: Viví en Madrid por dos años. (For two years)
Reason/Cause: Lo hice por amor. (Because of love)
Exchange: Te cambio mi manzana por tu banana. (In exchange for)
