Hello! My name is Mr. Kat Rogan. I am a native English speaker from the United States and I have been a professional language trainer for over 14 years for all age groups and levels of learning. I started teaching English in China at Dalian Maritime University in 2006. Since that time I have traveled to many countries, and have met and talked to just about every nationality you can think of. As and traveler, educator, and avid learner, the biggest thing I can say I have discovered about myself during this time: I really love languages and cultures. For me, learning languages and about people and their heritage is the "spice of life." This is what truly drives me to be a better person, keep moving forward, and improve at all levels of my life - every day. It's interesting, during these travels and experiences of the past decade-and-a-half, I have learned how to say basic concepts and greetings in at least 10 languages, which is a lot of fun and a big talking point in my day...

Originally, I am from Cape Town – South Africa's 'Mother City' which is where my love for art and different cultures was solidly forged. Since 2009 I have taught English to students as far afield as Iraq, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Kazikstan, Brazil, Equador, Zimbabwe, Jordon, Greece, France and Switzerland, taught at 2 different Language Schools in Jeffreys Bay, as well as keeping online contact with many of my students through the years to continue providing a conversational platform. I absolutely love learning about different cultures and meeting interesting, new people. With me as your tutor, your English will improve in leaps and bounds amidst loads of laughter, in a fun-filled environment – and did I mention that I enjoy teaching children too? I find ...

Hello everyone, my name is Carl and I was born in Canada. I have a passion for teaching, and believe teaching like learning should be fun to get the most out of it. I focus on Pronunciation using Phonetics (what does it sound like). Most of my students struggle, because they are still using their native sounds while speaking English, which is why they usually have a strong accent. In my classes we keep it simple and go back to basics, discussing the sounds that each letter of the English Alphabet make, it’s Vowels and Consonants, and then moving on to Syllables and how that changes the Intonation of their speaking. Speaking is sound, and sound is physical, it is all about the parts of the mouth being in the correct position, so if the parts of your mouth are in the same position as mine, we will make the same sound. You don’t have to think about it, it just happens. There are 26 letters in the English Alphabet, but there are a minimum of between 39 and 48 sounds, depending on which...
