I was born in Japan and studied in Canada and USA. When I was studying music in LA, I learned Brazilian music and a couple of years later I went to Brazil and met my husband. I didn't know how to speak Portuguese at that time, I only knew how to sing in Portuguese, but from the very first day of Brazil I learned how to have fun and communicate with people without knowing much of the theory and vocabulary.
