Hi, my name is Jenni and I’m from Melbourne, Australia. I currently living in Europe, and teach English as a second language. As well as teaching, I am a photographer and videographer.
I believe the most effective way to learn English is through regular live dialogue with a native speaker. Through these conversations, I can critique my student’s grammar, pronunciation and intonation. I also like to track my student’s development through goal-setting and regular feedback. I also have an abundance of useful resources that aim to improve student’s written and comprehension skills.
I always enjoy having a good conversation and find listening to people from different cultures deeply enriching. Topics I enjoy talking about include; Technology trends, both old and new. Popular culture such as movies, music or even ted talks, cooking and activism for social change. I want to know what interests you!
Back in Australia I worked for the non-profit organisation, ASRC, that campaigns for the human rights of refugees and people seeking asylum.
Prior to that I worked at an advertising agency, where I became familiar with high-paced corporate environments and meeting client expectations. I am also a certified youth worker.
I have experience teaching English during my seasonal stay in Hungary. I was working for a design and development company in Budapest, teaching ESL to adults ranging from A1 to C2. All my lessons are tailor-made according to my students’ individual requirements.
