My name is Serdar Gulec.
As far as my education is concerned, I have BA degree in Turkish Language and Literature, MA. Ed. Degree in English and TESOL certificate from Arizona State University.
My teaching philosophy is student-oriented and communication-centered. In my class, students never get bored. I use warm up activities for students to have them engage in my lesson. I continue with different interactive activities to have students expose the language. I encourage my student to talk in class. I try to reduce affective filter so that they could easily engage in the class activities and discussions. In my case, formative assessments are more important than summative assessments. I could assess my students with any interactive dialog or activities or short quizzes without grading them(Maybe only some peer review. Asking other students to review) throughout the lesson so that they would not feel not ready or scared when we have summative assessments.
