Hi! I'm Melis Amber!
I'm currently a private English tutor and freelance writer. I've worked in education for several years, including as private tutor for adults, a classroom kindergarten teacher at an EFL school, a drama and a swim instructor.
Our lessons will go as slowly or as quickly as you need. If a student prefers, we can have a purely conversational lesson or we can use written work to reinforce grammar points helpful. Let me know what your hobbies are--- what movies do you like? Who is your favorite singer? Do you like politics? Economics? We can add these subjects into the lesson using videos, songs, and articles! As I've also worked as a copy editor and am a writer, I offer writer and essay preparation. Recently one of my students was able to raise her IELTS writing score by .5 in just a month. I also specialize in pronunciation and articulation. *Homework is available upon request.*
A bit about me: I love to travel--- I'm originally from the US, but I've been living in Istanbul for the last five years, which is the longest I've lived anywhere in the past decade. Since living here, I've been to: Bulgaria, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. I also adore my seven dogs, cooking, theatre, kickboxing and television. But since I love learning, I really love to talk about almost anything and everything!
